What I can tell from research is that there is an asymmetry difference in alpha between the left and right hemispheres but that does not mean that there is an excess of alpha in one of the hemispheres. It could also indicate a deficiency in the other hemisphere in relation to causation.
I am going to look into this further and if I find anything more to add, I'll be back.
The other thing is that the delivery system of an AVS machine is not such that you can target one hemisphere or the other so by directing separate frequencies to each ear will likely only result in a binaural third frequency - which would be the difference between the two frequencies.
