External mp3 player

Hi,
I was wondering - is it possible to play any given session on the Kasina, turn the sound down, and play a CD or mp3 selection from and external source to pair the outside selection with the Kasina visuals? You can do this with the Procyon. I tried to use the same mechanism with the Kasina but was unsuccessful. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Brian;

This will be possible in the upcoming firmware release.

For now, the workaround would be to plug your headphones into your CD or mp3 player directly instead of routing the output to the AUX in on the Kasina.

Lord, such an obvious solution. I am somewhat embarrassed I didn't think of it.

Lol! That happens to me all time - I get tunnel vision and someone else reminds me that there's another way completely.

A feature on the upcoming firmware will be the ability to mix the external audio with the internal session sounds, which some people may enjoy.
