How I improvised my Kasina battery replacement
As many know the Kasina battery seems impossible to replace not because of the electrical specs but because of the form factor
Its 1200 amps & 3.7 volts - very easy to get these online.
The problem is they are all too thick for the Kasina case.
Here's what I did & its not pretty. First to remove the back panel you need to remove the two small screws. The back then slides downward a few mm & clips off.
I then removed the old battery & drilled a very small hole in the back cover.
Small enough to stick the red & black battery wires through. Remove the battery but leave the wires intact.
Then reattach the back cover & screws.
Simply attach the wires from your new battery to the protruding wires. There is no need even to solder anything.
Tape the whole thing up with duct tape or electrical tape so its all safe & secure
Congratulations you have now replaced the Kasina battery & the only damage is a small hole on the back cover.
Yes its ugly but I meditate in private.
Re: How I improvised my Kasina battery replacement
Well my joy was short lived. My machine must have some internal damage as I got it second hand. Its not working again & seems to have a problem recharging the battery. It also wont run unless plugged in.
Have ordered a replacement unit from Mindplace.

Did you check your firmware? Updates to the firmware solved a lot of battery issues. Should be 2.06 http://mindplacesupport.com/kasina/#software. Also, you need a stout USB cable with thick gauge wire. Some USB cables will not charge the Kasina.
